Medicare Advantage Plan - Medicare Plus Blue
For Bronson Hospitals, Bronson Advanced Radiology and Bronson Owned Physician Practices: Medicare Advantage Plans are Medicare plans that are administered through a private company rather than the Federal Government. These plans provide Part A and B (inpatient and outpatient) medical coverage. However, some plans may also include a prescription drug plan, (Part D), coverage. There are three kinds of Medicare Advantage Plans: HMO Plans With an HMO plan, the member must select a primary care provider and receive services from hospitals and providers that participate in the HMO provider network. Members may need authorization to receive services from a provider that is not in the HMO network. - Bronson participates with one Medicare Advantage HMO plan. Blue Care Network's "BCN Advantage"plan. (Bronson Home Health does not participate with this plan at this time)
PPO Plans With a PPO plan, members are not required to select a primary care provider. Members are encouraged to receive services from hospitals and providers that participate in the PPO provider network for the highest level of insurance coverage. - Bronson participates with one Medicare Advantage PPO Plan. Humana's Medicare Advantage PPO plan.
Private Fee For Service Plans (PFFS) With a Fee For Service plan, members do not need to select a participating primary care provider. Members may receive services from hospitals and providers that agree to bill and receive payment from the Fee For Service plan. There is no provider network. - Bronson accepts ALL Medicare Fee For Service Plans. Some of the plans offered in Southwest Michigan include: Blue Cross Blue Shield's "Medicare Plus Blue" Pacific Care's "Secure Horizons Direct", Humana's "Humana Gold Choice" and Aetna's "Aetna Medicare Open Plan"
