Community Outreach and Benefits
For more than a century, we've been committed to providing care for all people, regardless of their ability to pay. This is key to our mission as a non-profit. And one of the ways we return value to our community.
Annually, each hospital in the Bronson Healthcare system documents its service to the community and produces a community benefit report. The report tracks the dollar value of services to the underserved; community outreach and leadership; and time and resources donated to health professional education.
Our most recent community benefit report shows that Bronson hospitals delivered more than $139 million in uncompensated benefits to people in southwest and south central Michigan. That amounts to more than $382,000 in free or subsidized care and community programming each and every day.
