Profile

According to Dr. Goodwin, family medicine is the foundation for all of health care. He believes that we can transform communities when we focus on preventing diseases before they develop. This is what led him to focus on a health care career, as well as sports medicine. Dr. Goodwin has special interests in sports medicine and treating athletes of all ages. He finds it very rewarding when his patients reach their goals.

Dr. Goodwin’s greatest influences in life have been his mother and grandmother. They encouraged him from a young age to pursue his dreams of helping others and his community.

Outside of the office, Dr. Goodwin volunteers at his church and as a sideline doctor for area sports teams. He also enjoys spending time his family and friends, running and playing tennis.

Dr. Goodwin is board certified in family medicine and sports medicine. He is also a fellow of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine (FAOASM).
