Jennifer Webb, MD

Dr. Jennifer Webb has healing in her DNA. Born in Detroit, Michigan, she credits her mother, who was a Lieutenant Captain Army Nurse, for being the catalyst behind her desire to pursue a career in medicine. As early as five years old, Dr. Webb demonstrated phenomenal skills in math and sciences, which resulted in her receiving advanced placements, top honors and scholarships from several prestigious universities throughout her education.

Dr. Webb is the first African American in Michigan to pass the National American Board of Radiology exam.

Her track record for being a trailblazer in medicine has garnered her numerous awards and academic appointments. Dr. Webb was named Woman of the Year in Medicine by the historical Little Rock Baptist Church in Detroit. Her calm spirit and progressive approach to healing and definitive care has earned her hugs and cards from patients. Currently, she serves as the National Spokesperson for ASTRO Patient Education where she provides patient education instructions in their online videos.

Dr. Webb is a sought after speaker. As a board certified radiation oncologist with more than 20 years of experience treating a wide variety of malignancies including breast, lung, prostate and head and neck cancer, she has a wealth of data regarding the effectiveness of healing patients using the most advanced cancer-fighting breakthroughs with innovative technology and targeted therapy. She has been an Assistant Professor of Radiology Oncology at the University of Michigan and Wayne State University at the Karmanos Cancer Institute. She has given talks at the National Medical Association meeting on MammoSite procedures for breast cancer, and at local meetings on lung cancer and breast cancer. She has mentored and helped train numerous radiation oncology residents and fellows.

Dr. Webb’s practice is to provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients. This is a lesson that she learned from her mom at an early age. Aside from caring for cancer patients, Dr. Webb enjoys traveling with her two sons, trying new restaurants, attending live theater, and staying fit and healthy through exercise.
