ASTRO APEx Accredited Program for Excellence® (2017, 2021)
Bronson Cancer Center - Battle Creek holds accreditation for radiation oncology services through The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO). At the time of accreditation (2017), Bronson Cancer Center - Battle Creek was one of only 24 such centers in the nation, and continues to the only APEx-accredited cancer center in west and southwest Michigan. CNOR® Strong Designation (2015)
Bronson Battle Creek is the only hospital in Michigan to earn the CNOR® Strong designation from the Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI). This national designation is awarded to healthcare facilities where at least 50 percent of operating room (OR) nursing staff have achieved CNOR certification and where the facility itself recognizes OR nurses for improving and validating their knowledge and skills.
National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) (2013-current)
The National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a quality program administered by the American College of Surgeons (ACS), has granted accredited status to the Bronson Breast Health Center Program at Bronson Methodist Hospital and Bronson Battle Creek.
The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval™ (2013 effective through 2016)
Bronson Battle Creek Hospital was recognized by The Joint Commission with its Gold Seal of Approval™ in 2010 by demonstrating compliance with national standards for healthcare quality and safety. This accreditation is valid for three years.
Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program Certification
Bronson Battle Creek Hospital’s cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs are certified by the American Association of Cardio-Vascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. The AACVPR recognition indicates our programs improve quality of life for patients and their families.
Comprehensive Community Cancer Program from the Commission on Cancer (2005 - 2021)
The Bronson Cancer Center - Battle Creek has received accreditation by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program ‘with commendation.’ This three-year ‘approval, with commendation,’ ranks BBC among the best hospitals nationwide.
