Bronson Rapid Response Fund

Originally established in April 2020 to support Bronson Healthcare's immediate response to the fast-moving global spread of COVID-19, the Bronson Rapid Response Fund has evolved to address a wider range of emergent health crises and natural disasters. This temporarily restricted fund at Bronson Health Foundation continues to enable Bronson, as the local healthcare system in southwest Michigan, to fulfill its responsibility by preparing for and responding to diverse threats that may impact the health and wellbeing of our community and staff.

This expanded support may include, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  • Essential Equipment and Supplies: Provision of materials, equipment, and supplies for front-line care teams, adapted to the specific needs of varying emergencies.
  • Advanced Technology: Deployment of technology solutions to facilitate mobile, remote, and in-hospital care across different crisis scenarios.
  • Support Services for Staff: Provision of childcare support, meals, and other essential services to frontline and support staff during critical response periods.
  • Employee Welfare Enhancements: Enhancement of existing funds like Bronson’s Employees in Crisis Fund to provide additional support during heightened needs.
  • Operational Adjustments: Modification of facilities and processes, including the establishment of specialized testing or treatment sites, to effectively respond to specific crises.
  • Sustenance and Nutrition: Supplying meals and snacks to various departments to maintain workforce performance during demanding periods.

The items listed above are examples of possible uses of the fund, illustrating its flexibility to adapt to various needs. These examples are not exhaustive; the fund may cover additional requirements as they emerge, based on decisions made by the Bronson Health Foundation leadership in collaboration with appropriate Bronson leadership to address priorities.
