Jeff leads by example

Jeff Roberts has worked in multiple leadership positions in the Bronson Battle Creek emergency department. He has been a relief charge nurse and the chairperson of the ED Nursing Unit Council. As chair of the unit council, he has spearheaded multiple charitable endeavors as well as working to improve the relationship between ED and MICU. This strong relationship has proven mutually beneficial during emergencies in both units. Under his direction, unit council has been well attended and productive.

Jeff has also developed his leadership skills as a charge nurse and has earned the trust and respect of those nurses working with him. He leads his shift by example, even when not in charge of the department. He is a hands on charge nurse who actively assists in both routine care and emergent cases, no task being beneath him. In the last year he has earned the Daisy Award and Quarterly Winner Wednesday for exceptional compassion and for going above and beyond the call of duty. What better example for a staff of young nurses?

In addition to leadership at work, Jeff is a dedicated husband and father and sets a stellar example for his young family. He has invested in his personal self-development; earning his Bachelor of Science in nursing this last year.
