Proud to be a Bronson Medical Assistant!
My name is Lavonne and I have been a medical assistant (MA) at Bronson for 13 years. I work in the cardiothoracic and vascular office in Kalamazoo. This job is so rewarding for me because it gives me the ability to help people. As an MA, I am the person on the care team to talk with a patient before they see their provider, and here in the vascular surgery office, it is normal for patients to have an array of emotions. I always try to put myself in their shoes and treat them as if they were my own family member. It is a good day when a patient comes back for follow up and they are doing a lot better than before! At the end of the day, being an MA is such a rewarding job!!
We have an awesome team here in the cardiothoracic/vascular office. The hours are flexible which helps with having good work-life balance. This is especially important these days because we have quite a few MAs on the team who are in school to further their education while also working here at Bronson.
