Having Bronson Children's Hospital means everything. It saved our child's life. I'm so grateful it's here and that the community supports it.

Go anywhere across the Bronson Healthcare system and you’ll see gifts to Bronson Health Foundation making a difference. At Bronson Children’s Hospital, families rely on expert medical care and a comforting, supportive care team to see them through what is often the most unexpected time of their lives.

For the O’Hare family, that time started last summer, when William was diagnosed with leukemia. Since then, he’s had around 25 overnight stays at Bronson Children’s Hospital, and regular visits to Bronson Pediatric Hematology and Oncology for treatment.
“He’s done really well, but it’s also been the hardest thing we’ve ever gone through,” says Katie, William’s mom.

Katie says a key part to getting through the tough days has been the supportive services and resources — everything from art therapy, to the Camp Bronson playroom, to the child-friendly murals throughout the hospital and clinic. They are all funded by Bronson Health Foundation donors.

The sentiment is shared by families who find themselves at Bronson following the birth of a baby born prematurely, a toddler with sickle cell disease, a child with a new diabetes diagnosis or a teen who suffers a traumatic injury. There is so much that brings comfort and promotes healing.
