Stephanie does an excellent job demonstrating leadership and dedication, with great focus on patient care and patient safety. She continues to grow professionally, taking on more responsibilities and looking for opportunities to grow as a nurse/leader/mentor. She takes initiative to assist and educate nurses on the unit, to ensure continuous improvement in time management and above all, patient safety. She has taken on additional responsibilities ensuring the schedule is done and submitted as well as signing up to help at skills fairs, where she has opportunity to work closely educating nurses. I am proud to work alongside Stephanie, as I've witness her taking an active role to improve the outcomes of patients, encourage and educate other staff, and demonstrate great flexibility by jumping in and supporting staff wherever she is needed. She is a great coach and mentor for all staff. She picks up additional hours in the ED to help when they are short staffed, ensuring good teamwork. She has taken on additional responsibilities by participating at important meetings to ensure new charting documents, transport policies/protocols are being updated as well as working to improve the transport nurse role as it was newly implemented role at BBC in June 2017.
