Respiratory Therapy

As a respiratory therapist, you have the opportunity to make a positive impact on patients and their families every day. Whether you are new to the field or have years of experience, we have a spot for you on Team Bronson. Job requirements include:

  • Associate degree in respiratory therapy (AS); Bachelor degree preferred
  • Current respiratory therapy license in the state of Michigan
  • Must hold registered respiratory therapist credentials (RRT) or get credentialed within one year of hire

We are currently offering sign-on bonuses up to $25,000 for eligible respiratory therapist positions!

What Does a Respiratory Therapist Do?

Respiratory therapists at Bronson work alongside the medical team, providing patients with respiratory care.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating patients breathing and blood gasses, then making ventilator recommendations
  • Administering respiratory therapies as ordered by a provider
  • Educating patients and families on therapy options
  • Performing basic pulmonary function tests, including but not limited to EKGs, arterial blood gasses, pulse oximetry and end tidal CO2 monitoring
  • Assisting with bedside bronchoscopies, intubations and extubations
  • Performing nasotracheal, endotracheal, tracheal suction and sample collections

Kalamazoo

Kalamazoo, and the surrounding areas of Portage, Richland, Mattawan and Texas Township, have much to offer.
