Aneurysm

Aneurysm

An aneurysm is an enlargement of an artery which is caused by a weakening of the artery wall. It may remain silent or rupture, causing serious problems or even death.

Brain aneurysms and hemorrhages occur when a weak part of a blood vessel fills with blood and balloons or bulges, which can burst and lead to bleeding within the brain.

Not all aneurysms require treatment.
