Diabetic Ulcer

A diabetic ulcer is a chronic, open sore that occurs in about 15 percent of diabetic patients. Diabetic ulcers most often occur on the foot. Neuropathy (a loss of sensation), peripheral artery disease (PAD) and trauma can all be contributing factors to the development of diabetic ulcers.
