Ligament Injury

A ligament injury occurs when the tissue that connects the bone at the joint becomes stretched or torn. The four major ligaments in the knee include the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), lateral collateral ligament (LCL) and the medial collateral ligament (MCL).
