My Approach to Care

I want each patient to be confident in their ability to make decisions about their care so that together we can make a care plan that works for them. It's important to me that my patients feel heard and understood when seeking care.

The thought of providing life-changing care to her patients makes Colleen eager to start each day of work. She was drawn to orthopedic medicine because of the unique opportunities it provides to improve patients' quality of life. Colleen finds it very rewarding when she knows she has made a difference in her patients’ lives. She loves the idea of being trained in the medical model while increasing access to healthcare through her practice. Colleen enjoys working as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team and connecting with patients and colleagues each day.

Colleen’s parents have always encouraged her to work hard, treat others with respect and contribute to society in a positive way. As a previous employee of Bronson Children’s Hospital, she enjoyed volunteering at the annual Bronson Children’s Hospital 5K. Additionally, she enjoys creating comfort items to be donated to children who are admitted to Bronson Children’s Hospital. In her free time, Colleen loves spending time outside kayaking, swimming, golfing, wake surfing, hiking and mountain biking. During the colder months, she enjoys snow skiing, volleyball, playing and coaching basketball and cooking. One of her favorite things is to spend time at the lake with family and friends.
