Profile

Dr. Nair had a deep interest in the science of oncology and tumorigenesis since the early years of his medical training. He spent the formative years of his medical education in clinical oncology and cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Center, which played a key role in defining his career path.

As a medical oncologist, Dr. Nair works with patients who have cancer or blood disorders. He has a special interest in helping patients with lung cancer, breast cancer, stomach and intestinal cancers, and prostate, bladder or kidney cancers. He also treats patients with blood disorders such as blood clotting problems and issues with blood counts.

The rapid testing and healing advances within the field of cancer care excite Dr. Nair the most. He makes every effort to use cutting-edge treatments. This includes using treatments that use a person’s own immune system to fight cancer.

Outside of work, Dr. Nair loves spending time with his family, reading books, learning about cultures through travel and documentaries, and perfecting his culinary skills. He is also a classical musician and an amateur wildlife photographer. You can often find him singing acapella or strolling along nature trails, identifying plants or looking for birds to photograph.
