Dr. Spitzer discovered his interest in pediatrics when he started helping his mother take care of his younger brother who had asthma. “I discovered through him my sense of compassion and empathy,” he explains.

Dr. Spitzer is passionate about working with children children. “I always look forward to seeing the kids every day. I never know what is going to be the joke of the day or the next silly moment.”

A fun fact about Dr. Spitzer is that he grew up in Colombia and speaks fluent Spanish. During his undergrad years at Kalamazoo College, he studied abroad in France. He and his wife now enjoy traveling there as much as possible to enjoy the beautiful culture.
