Profile

Theresa “Teri” wanted to be a nurse for most of her life.  She spent 15 years as a registered nurse and while it was very rewarding, she felt like she wanted to do more. She chose to become a nurse practitioner to have a bigger impact on patients and their families. She loves the challenge of working with patients to set reasonable goals that work for them and their health needs. These goals usually go hand in hand with good education to ensure the patient understands what their condition is and why these goals are important.  Healthcare can be incredibly intimidating and if Teri is able to help them feel less scared or frustrated, she feels that she has achieved her goal.

The biggest influence in Teri’s life was watching her mom die of pulmonary fibrosis from rheumatoid arthritis. She was on the transplant list for approximately nine months but had a very rare blood type and many antibodies. She had an amazing nurse practitioner from the transplant team that was incredibly honest with not only her mom, but her whole family. She saw what true compassionate care looked like and was determined to model that when she became a nurse practitioner.

In her free time, Teri volunteers as the camp nurse for Rotary Youth Leadership Awakening (RYLA) camp - a camp for high school students to help them gain leadership skills and build relationships - each summer. She also enjoys refinishing and refurbishing furniture as well as working on craft projects for fun.

This survey is used by hospitals and medical practices across the country and was developed by Press Ganey Associates. Surveys are sent to randomly selected Bronson patients after they have had an appointment with a Bronson physician in an outpatient practice setting.

The comments and star ratings you see here reflect the views and opinions of patients who have completed and returned their surveys. Press Ganey independently compiles the data and forwards it to Bronson to be posted.
