Our OB/GYN hospitalists are in the hospital 24/7 to care for you and your baby when you are at the Bronson BirthPlace – Kalamazoo at Bronson Methodist Hospital. These board-certified obstetrician-gynecologists care for patients during visits for childbirth, gynecological surgery and more.
OB/GYN Hospitalists:
- Evaluate patients when they come into the hospital or for an obstetric or gynecological emergency.
- Care for OB/GYN patients who are not under the care of a healthcare provider
- Provide consults for patients who are admitted to the emergency department
- May assist during C-section deliveries
- Keep patients’ healthcare providers up-to-date on their patients’ conditions
- May also perform other tests and procedures on patients in the hospital
We’ll Make Sure That Your Doctor Is:
- Aware you have been admitted to the hospital
- Fully informed of your illness and care
- Involved in your treatment
- Provided with a summary of your hospitalization after you go home, including changes to your medication
- Given access to all information from your hospital stay, including lab and other diagnostic tests performed
- Aware of any follow-up care you need
