2023 Holiday Memorial Service Held to Remember Babies
KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Bronson Bereavement Services and Bronson’s SHARE Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Group is hosting an annual Holiday Memorial Service on Friday, December 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. The service will be held at the Gilmore Center for Health Education, located on the N. Campus of Bronson Methodist Hospital. This special event is open to anyone grieving the death of a child due to miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth or other perinatal loss.
The event includes a message of hope, candle lighting, music, poetry and more performed by members of the SHARE support group. All attendees are invited to hang ornaments in memory of their little ones who have died.
“The event has been a long-standing tradition of the Bronson SHARE group. It helps bring people together to honor and remember their little ones who are no longer here with us,” explains Deb Koning, Bronson’s bereavement coordinator. “Our goal is to bring hope and healing to hurting families during the holiday season. Many past SHARE members have said that this is the one time dedicated to remembering the little ones they have lost.” The memorial is supported by generous donations to Bronson Health Foundation.
Whether you have personally experienced pregnancy or infant loss, want to honor a friend, or simply want to support grieving families, all are welcome to join us in this celebration. A time of gathering and refreshments will follow the service.
