Ali Ghasham, MD, Appointed Vice President, Chief Medical Officer for Bronson Battle Creek Hospital
Battle Creek, Mich. – Ali Ghasham, MD, is the new vice president and chief medical officer for Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. He has served as interim CMO for the hospital since January, 2024 and, following a national search, was selected for the permanent role effective May 6, 2024.
As the senior physician executive at the hospital, Dr. Ghasham will work in partnership with Chief Operating Officer Joe du Lac to provide strategic leadership and support to ensure the continuous improvement of patient safety, quality, effectiveness, value, and efficiency of patient care across the entire hospital.
Dr. Ghasham is a 2002 graduate of University of Michigan with a BS in Biochemistry and Psychology. He received his Doctor of Medicine from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in 2007 and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Florida Hospital in 2011. He then began his career at hospitals in mid-Michigan and served as a Major in the United States Army Reserve from 2011 to 2018. He joined the Bronson Hospitalist Program in 2014 and served as hospitalist site lead in Battle Creek since 2022.
Along with his administrative duties, he will continue to practice medicine as a hospitalist and serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at WMed. As CMO for Bronson Battle Creek Hospital, Dr. Ghasham will play a vital role in medical staff services, medical education programming, and clinical governance while fostering meaningful relationships between administration, physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and all caregivers.
