Anne Wendling Named VP Patient Care Services & Chief Nursing Officer for Bronson Healthcare’s Hospitals in Van Buren County
Battle Creek, Mich. – Anne Wendling, MSN, RN, has been named VP Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for Bronson LakeView Hospital in Paw Paw and Bronson South Haven Hospital. She succeeds Chris Fitzgerald who retired in July.
Wendling is a dynamic nursing leader who has been with the Bronson Healthcare system for nearly 30 years. During her career, she has participated on, supported, and led numerous clinical teams. She is an excellent coach and mentor and a critical thinker and problem solver.
Well-versed in administrative functions and hospital operations, Wendling most recently served as the Director of Nursing for Perioperative Services at Bronson Methodist Hospital and as System Director of Surgical Services. Her past roles have included: Manager of Nursing in Surgery, Practice Manager III, Surgical Services Clinical Coordinator, Surgery Charge Nurse, Surgical Staff Nurse, and Phlebotomist.
Wendling will report directly to Matthew Dommer, MD, MBA, Vice President for Medical Affairs and Chief Operating Officer for Bronson LakeView and Bronson South Haven hospitals. With her breadth of experience as a nursing professional and as a lifelong resident of Paw Paw, I know she will be a great asset to our rural hospitals’ continued growth and success.”
She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ; Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Davenport University; and Associates of Applied Science of Nursing from Kalamazoo Valley Community College.
