Bronson Commons was named a Best Nursing Home 2018-19 by U.S. News & World Report. More than 15,000 nursing homes nationwide were evaluated with 2,975 being rated with this designation. Only 230 facilities in Michigan were named a Best Nursing Home.
“This is the sixth consecutive year we have received this distinction,” said Laura Hamann, executive director of Bronson Commons. “Not only does this reflect the exceptional care our staff provides, it demonstrates consistency and commitment to our patients, residents and their families.”
U.S. News & World Report also introduced a new rating for short-stay rehabilitation, in which Bronson Commons was rated a high-performer. Nursing homes can be rated as high-performing, average or below average in the care they provide to patients staying at the facility for less than 100 days.
Bronson Commons is an all-private room facility specializing in short-term nursing care and rehabilitation for adult patients following illness, injury or hospitalization. There is also a unit devoted to long-term care in a secure, homelike environment.
