Bronson Methodist Hospital in Nation’s Top 10% for Patient Experience

Bronson Methodist Hospital is the recipient of the Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award ─ a distinction that places it among the top 10 percent of hospitals nationwide. Of the 3,346 U.S. hospitals evaluated, 424 outperformed their peers to achieve this distinction.Award graphic Notably, Bronson Methodist Hospital is one of just 32 hospitals in the nation to have sustained the high level of service required to remain on the list for twelve years in a row.

Healthgrades’ evaluation process applies a scoring methodology to 10 patient experience measures on Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) surveys collected by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) from patients hospitalized between April 2018 and March 2019.  The 29-question survey focuses on patients’ perspectives of their care in the hospital including cleanliness and noise levels in patient rooms, physician and nurse communication, and whether a patient would recommend the hospital to friends or family.
