Bronson Methodist Hospital Ranked by U.S. News & World Report

The high quality of care at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo is in the spotlight with the release of U.S. News & World Report’s 2022-23 ‘Best Hospitals’ national and state rankings. Of the 159 hospitals ranked in the state, Bronson Methodist Hospital’s performance has earned it the #9 spot on U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals in Michigan list.

The annual Best Hospitals rankings and ratings, now in their 33rd year, are designed to assist patients and their doctors in making informed decisions about where to receive quality care for challenging health conditions or elective procedures.

For the 2022-2023 rankings and ratings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 U.S. hospitals across 15 specialties and 20 procedures and conditions. Each hospital was evaluated on a variety of measures such as survival rates, complication rates, patient experience and level of nursing care.

Bronson Methodist Hospital was identified as a high performer in the specialty of Urology and in 13 adult procedures and conditions, including: Aortic Valve Surgery, Heart Attack, Heart Bypass Surgery, Heart Failure, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Lung Cancer Surgery, Pneumonia, Hip Replacement, Hip Fracture, Knee Replacement, Ortho and Neuro Back Surgery (spinal fusion) and Stroke.
