Bronson Transitions to Optional Masking in Most Areas – Effective April 18th
As the pandemic wanes and there is decreased spread of COVID-19 in our communities, Bronson Healthcare has joined with other Michigan health systems in relaxing masking requirements for patients, visitors, and employees at our hospitals and outpatient locations.
Masking will continue at Bronson Commons as is required for skilled nursing facilities, and in patient care units where wearing personal protective equipment is standard for infection control.
In all other facilities, wearing a mask is welcome, but optional unless you:
- have symptoms of respiratory illness or COVID-19 (runny nose, cough, fever, etc.)
- have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 10 days
- or have been in close contact with someone who tested positive in the past 10 days.
In these instances, patients should inform staff and wear a mask. Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided for your use.
Anyone with these symptoms who is not a patient, is asked to refrain from visiting Bronson while you are ill.
Visitor guidelines have been updated to reflect these changes and to, again, allow healthy children under the age 12 to visit the hospital.
