Bronson Wellness Center in South Haven Opens its Doors as “Cooling Station” During Current Heat Watch

SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. –  Temperatures are predicted to rise above 90 degrees in the coming days. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity is expected to create a dangerous situation where heat illnesses are possible. It is important to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged time outside and in other non-air-conditioned spaces.

To help ensure those living in the South Haven community stay safe during the upcoming heat wave, Bronson Wellness Center has opened its doors during regular business hours as a cooling station Tuesday, June 14 and Wednesday, June 15, or further notice. Anyone living in or visiting the area can come to the club free of charge and cool off in the air-conditioned lobby and conference rooms. The club will supply cold water for everyone inside the club. Non-members cannot use the fitness areas during this time.

Club hours are:

  • Monday-Friday: 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday-Sunday: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bronson Wellness Center is located at 950 S. Bailey Ave. in South Haven. The club can be contacted at (269) 639-2949.
