Cancer Survivors Invited to Fifth Annual Cancer Survivors’ Celebration
The team at the Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care Center knows that no matter where someone is on their cancer journey, they are a survivor. That’s why the organization wants to celebrate everyone who has been diagnosed with cancer, whether they’re in the early stages of the disease, in remission, or finally cancer-free.
On Tuesday, October 8, the Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care Center will host an event for cancer survivors to celebrate survivorship and connect with other local survivors. Together with the American Cancer Society, Senior Health Partners and the Calhoun County Cancer Control Coalition, the Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Survivors’ Celebration will honor those who have battled cancer in the past or are currently battling the disease.
The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. and will feature free massages, cooking demos, music and other fun activities. Food and beverages will be provided. Cancer survivors are welcome to bring a guest with them to the event.
“It is truly special to have this opportunity to see people from our community in one place, celebrating the obstacles they’ve overcome, or are continuing to battle,” says Leisa Butts, RN, survivorship coordinator at Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care Center. “The event continues to grow each year, and we consider it a privilege to see everyone come together and learn from each other and celebrate together.”
The event is free and open to all cancer survivors, whether they received care at the Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care Center or elsewhere. Registration is encouraged.
