Families Invited to Memorial Service to Remember Babies
Bronson Bereavement Services and Bronson’s SHARE Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Group are hosting their annual Holiday Memorial Service on Friday, December 6, from 7 to 9 p.m. The service will take place at the Gilmore Center for Health Education located on the North Campus of Bronson Methodist Hospital at 7 Healthcare Plaza, Kalamazoo. This event is open to anyone mourning the loss of a child due to miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, or other newborn loss.
The evening will feature a message of hope, along with candle lighting, music, poetry, and more, presented by members of the SHARE support group. Attendees are also welcome to hang ornaments in memory of their little ones.
“This event has been a cherished tradition within the Bronson SHARE group, providing a meaningful space for families and friends to come together and honor the memory of the little ones who are no longer with us,” said Deb Koning, Bronson’s bereavement coordinator. “We aim to offer hope and healing to all those navigating grief during the holiday season.”
Whether you have personally experienced pregnancy or infant loss, want to honor a friend, or simply want to support grieving families, all community members are welcome to join us in this celebration. A time of gathering and refreshments will follow the service.
Generous donations to the Bronson Health Foundation support Bronson’s SHARE support group and this memorial event. For more information, contact Deb Koning or call (269) 341-6639.
