Registration Now Open for 2021 Bronson Children's Hospital Run & Walk

Registration is now open for the 2021 Bronson Children’s Hospital Virtual Run & Walk which will take place from Friday, September 17 through Sunday, September 26. More than 1,700 hundred people participated virtually in last year’s run/walk, and a great showing is expected again this year. Instead of bringing people together in one place, individuals and teams can choose when and where to participate in their own neighborhoods and communities. They are also encouraged to share their experience on social media, virtually bringing together a crowd in support of Bronson Children’s Hospital.

The annual Run & Walk is Bronson Health Foundation’s premiere event to raise funds for programs and services at Bronson Children’s Hospital─ the only children’s hospital in southwest Michigan. Community support is critical to ensuring the hospital is able to continue to provide child life services, art and music therapy, new medical technology and supportive services for babies and their families in the neonatal intensive care unit.

“The enthusiasm we saw for the virtual event was really fantastic in 2020, and we are hoping it grows in 2021,” says Terry Morrow, vice president of development for Bronson Healthcare. “Our communities are really committed to supporting children’s health, and we can’t wait to see the fun and creative ways people will take part in the run and walk again this year.”

Participants can choose to complete their 5k (3.1 mile) or 1 mile run or walk at any time and location from Friday, September 17 through Sunday, September 26. All registered participants will receive a t-shirt, bib and a newly designed finisher medal. Teams and individuals are also invited to set a fundraising goal to support children’s health. Fun challenges, prizes and videos shared on social media will help connect participants, patients and families throughout the event.

“We encourage people to register today and invite their families and friends to sign-up, too,” says Morrow. “It’s a great way to make a difference in the lives of ill and injured children in our communities, and help make their time in the hospital just a little easier.”
