Patient Safety

Visitor Safety

Wearing a mask is welcome, but optional unless you:

  • have symptoms of respiratory illness or COVID-19 (runny nose, cough, fever, etc.)
  • have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 10 days
  • or have been in close contact with someone who tested positive in the past 10 days.
In these instances, patients should inform staff and wear a mask. Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided for your use.
Anyone with these symptoms who is not a patient, is asked to refrain from visiting Bronson while you are ill.
Masking continues at Bronson Commons as is required for skilled nursing facilities, and in patient care units where wearing personal protective equipment is standard for infection control.

We have many precautions in place to keep you safe during your visit.

  • Visitor restrictions are in effect. Please click here for current visitor guidelines.
  • We frequently clean and disinfect all rooms and hard surfaces.
  • We provide extensive training and personal protective equipment for all staff.

Here’s how you can help stop the spread of respiratory diseases like COVID-19

  • Keep a distance of 6 feet between you and others.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and put your used tissue in the wastebasket. If a tissue is not available, use your upper sleeve or elbow, not your hands.
  • Wash hands often with soap and warm water for 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand rub.
  • hospital staff in masks
