Providers use tests and procedures to determine the right course of treatment for your individual condition. Here are a few procedures that may be used as part of your care:

• Blood cultures and biopsies – Helps to find infections
• Stoma site marking – This is an evaluation that determines the best place for patient’s wound opening after an operation.
• Transcutaneous oximetry test – This procedure tests the small blood vessels in a patient’s feet and legs to determine whether their wound is getting enough blood for it to heal.
