Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Clinic
A breast cancer diagnosis looks different for everyone. Based on your situation, you may be referred into Bronson's Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Clinic. Within this program, you'll experience a comprehensive approach to treatment that is designed to deliver both high-quality outcomes, as well as an efficient, streamlined experience every step of the way.
A Multidisciplinary Team of Experts – All Under One Roof
It takes a team to treat breast cancer. A treatment team may include a variety of people, including a medical oncologist, radiation oncologist, breast surgeon, nurses and more. Often times, these specialists are located in separate wings of a hospital, or even on opposite sides of town. At times, this can leave you feeling overwhelmed and in an endless maze, trying to navigate various appointments and stacks of paperwork.
Bronson's Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Clinic simplifies this process by bringing your entire care team to you—and all in one place.
How does it work?
- After receiving referral into the clinic, you are set up with a nurse navigator. The nurse navigator helps coordinate all aspects of your care – starting with a multidisciplinary conference.
-
Prior to the conference, your multidisciplinary treatment team meets to discuss your case and create a care plan.
- At your multidisciplinary conference, you, your supportive loved ones, and all members of your care team come together to discuss your diagnosis and make recommendations. When you leave the clinic, you leave with an entire plan of care.

In addition to this group of doctors, you will also work closely with a nurse navigator during your time in Bronson's Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Clinic.
Why is Coordinated Care Important?
- Save time. You do not need to travel to appointments all over town, or fill out several sets of new patient or insurance forms. One team, in one location, handles everything.
- Start care as soon as possible. You don’t have to wait several days or weeks to see each of your specialists on an individual basis. Meet with your entire care team all at once.
