Postpartum

Postpartum

Postpartum means after childbirth and refers to the period when a person’s body recovers from pregnancy and delivery. This recovery period takes place in the first six weeks after birth. It may also be called the fourth trimester.

The postpartum period may be a time when many questions arise related to maternal self-care, infant care and parenting. For more information, visit the YoMingo® educational platform. If you are concerned with any symptoms you may be having, contact your primary care provider or OB/GYN.
