Bronson Medical Art Therapy
Bronson’s Art Therapy Program is passionate about the potential for creativity to heal.
Our care extends well beyond medical treatment and considers the unique physical, cognitive, emotional, and social needs of hospitalized patients and their families. As an art therapy intern, students are part of a psychosocial team that plays an integral role in a patient’s healing process by providing patient and family-centered care, counseling, and art making. Students will be directly supervised by a board-certified art therapist in providing art therapy services, as well as discussions of student’s work and related activities including, but not limited to: case reviews, record keeping, preparation, treatment team meetings, in-service conferences, related milieu activities, evaluation of outcomes, and successful termination of therapy.
